Configuring the Grafana Server

The section describes how to connect a cluster to a server.

Procedure

  1. Choose Monitor > Performance Monitoring > Grafana.
  2. Click Configure Now.

    The Configure Grafana page is displayed on the right.

  3. Set the Grafana parameters, as shown in Table 1.

    Parameter

    Description

    Logstash IP Address

    IP address of the server where Logstash is located. Both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are supported.

    Click Test to check whether the IP address is pinged.

    Protocol

    Protocol used by the cluster to communicate with the server. Possible values are TCP and TCP+SSL/TLS.

    NOTE:
    • The TCP protocol has security risks. You are advised to select TCP+SSL/TLS.
    • If you select TCP+SSL/TLS, ensure that the Grafana service security certificate has been imported.

    Filebeat Port

    Port used by Filebeat to communicate with the server.

    Metricbeat Port

    Port used by Metricbeat to communicate with the server.

    Control Cluster Name

    Name of a control cluster, which is used to identify the current cluster. If this parameter is left blank, the name of the current control cluster is used by default.

  4. Click OK.

    After the configuration is complete, you can click Modify in the upper right corner of the Grafana home page to modify related parameters. Before the modification, stop the Grafana service on all nodes.
