Configuring NDMP for the File Service

Prerequisites

• NAS servers are supported.
• The NDMP service has been enabled. If the NDMP service is not enabled, choose Settings > NDMP Service to enable it. For details, see Managing the NDMP Service.

Procedure

1. Choose Resources > Access > Account.
2. Click an account name and choose Protocol > File Service.
3. Click Configure. The NDMP Service page is displayed on the right.
4. Select Enable and set Username and Password.
5. Click Modify to modify the user name.
6. Click Initialize Password. The Initialize Password page is displayed on the right.
7. Enter the password in the New Password and Confirm Password text boxes, and click OK. The initial password is set successfully, and the NDMP Service page is displayed.
8. Click OK. The Enable NDMP Service dialog box is displayed.
9. Click OK. The NDMP service configuration is complete.
