Managing the NFS Service

NFS shares use the NFSv3 service by default. If NFSv4.0 or NFSv4.1 is required, enable it by referring to this section.

Prerequisites

The file service has been enabled.

Procedure

  1. Choose Settings > Share Settings > NFS Service.
  2. Select a desired account from the Account drop-down list in the upper left corner.
  3. Click Modify in the upper right corner of the page.
  4. Enable the NFS service according to the protocol version used by the client when mounting NFS shares. The options are NFSv4.1 Service, NFSv4.0 Service, and NFS over RDMA Service.

    • NFS over RDMA, implementing data passthrough between NFS clients and storage systems, can improve NFS performance in network transmission, reduce CPU usage of clients and servers, and facilitate the application of NFS in scenarios requiring high performance and high bandwidth. To ensure that clients can use RDMA to access the storage system, you need to not only enable the NFS over RDMA service, but also use an access zone of the IB or RoCE network type. If no access zone of the IB or RoCE network type is available, create one by referring to Creating an Access Zone.
    • NFSv4.1 Service, NFSv4.0 Service, and NFS over RDMA Service can be enabled at the same time.

  5. Click Save.
