Creating a Local Authentication User Group

This section describes how to create a local UNIX authentication user group. Before creating a local authentication user, you need to create a local authentication user group for users to join. Ensure that the local authentication user group has the same ID as the user group on the client. This facilitates the management of user groups on the NFS or FTP client, such as quota allocation for user groups.

Procedure

  1. Choose Resources > Access > Authentication User > UNIX Users > Local Authentication User Group.
  2. Select a desired account from the Account drop-down list in the upper left corner.
  3. Click Create.

The Create Local UNIX Authentication User Group page is displayed.

  4. Set basic parameters for the local authentication user group.
