This section describes how to specify another snapshot volume as the source volume of a clone to reactivate the clone.
Prerequisites
- A clone has been created in the system.
- The clone is created for a volume snapshot.
Context
After a clone is reactivated, data in the clone volume is updated. The clone data is updated as follows:
- If you select another snapshot, the clone data will be changed to that snapshot's data.
For example, source volume Volume1 exists on the storage system. Snapshot1, Snapshot2, and Snapshot3 were respectively created at 10:00, 11:00 and 12:00 for Volume1. In addition, Clone1 was created using Snapshot1.
- If you select Snapshot3 to reactivate the clone, the clone data becomes the data of Snapshot3 at 12:00.
- If you select Snapshot2 to reactivate the clone, the clone data becomes the data of Snapshot2 at 11:00.
Procedure
- Choose Resources > Resources > Volume > Volume.
- Select a desired account from the Account drop-down list in the upper left corner.
- Click More on the right of a desired clone volume and select Reactivate.
The Reactivate Volume dialog box is displayed.
- Select a snapshot and click OK.
