If you need to stop services for one site due to site failures or other reasons, select the desired site of the HyperMetro pair. Pausing may cause the data inconsistency at both sites.
Prerequisites
- Running Status of a HyperMetro pair is Normal, Synchronizing, or To be synchronized (The connection of devices is normal).
- The HyperMetro pair is not added to a HyperMetro consistency group.
Context
A HyperMetro pair that has been added to a consistency group cannot be paused separately. You must pause the consistency group to pause all of its member pairs to ensure data consistency.
Procedure
- Choose Data Protection > Protection Entity > Volume > HyperMetro Pair.
- Select the desired HyperMetro pair and click Pause.
You can also click More on the right of the desired HyperMetro pair and click Pause.
- Select Preferred or Non-preferred and click OK.
- Confirm your operation as prompted.
