Creating a Single VLAN Port

This operation enables you to create a single VLAN port.

Procedure

  1. Choose Cluster > Network > Port and Route > VLAN Port.
  2. Choose Create > Create VLAN Port.

    The Create VLAN Port page is displayed.

  3. Set the parameters listed in Table 1.

    Parameter

    Description

    Port Type

    Indicates the type of the VLAN port to be created. The value can be Physical port or Bond port.

    Transmission Protocol

    Indicates the transmission protocol used by the VLAN port. The value can be TCP and RoCE.

    Select Port

    Selects a port.

    VLAN ID

    Indicates the ID of the VLAN that uses the VLAN port. The value ranges from 1 to 4094.

    VLAN Port Name

    Indicates the name of the VLAN port.

    NOTE:
    • The VLAN port name can contain a maximum of 13 characters.
    • The VLAN port name can contain only lowercase letters or digits and must end with period (.) + VLAN ID.

    Configure IP Address

    Sets the IP address and subnet mask/prefix of the VLAN port after enabling Configure IP Address.

    If the IP addresses are IPv4 addresses, enter the corresponding subnet mask.

    If the IP addresses are IPv6 addresses, enter the corresponding prefix.

    NOTE:
    • Click Add to configure a second IP address for the VLAN port.
    • If this function is not enabled during port creation, you can configure it later by referring to Configuring IP Addresses. To ensure that the VLAN port is available, you need to configure an IP address for it.

  4. Click OK.
