Enabling Security Sandbox

Enabling the security sandbox function can improve system security and prevent untrusted users or attackers from logging in to the storage operating system (OS) through SSH to perform malicious operations. After this function is enabled, users can only run CLI commands after logging in to the OS.

Prerequisites

The security sandbox function can be enabled only for storage nodes or management nodes.

Procedure

  1. Choose Cluster > Cluster > Hardware.
  2. In the lower part of the function pane, select desired nodes and click Enable Security Sandbox.

The Enable Security Sandbox page is displayed.

  3. In the Available Nodes area, select the nodes for which you want to enable the security sandbox function and add them to the Selected Nodes area on the right.
  4. Click OK.
