Importing a License File

Precautions

This operation can be performed only after system initialization is complete. If any license needs to be updated, choose Settings > License Management and click Update License.

Procedure

1. Apply for a license.

   Copy the SN of the storage system and log in to esdp.huawei.com to apply for a license.

2. Import the license.
   1. In the License File area, click to go to the folder where the desired license file resides.
   2. Select the desired license file and click Open.
      

      The button displayed in the dialog box varies based on the browser in use. The actual situation prevails.

   3. Click Upload.

3. View information about the imported license file. Table 1 describes related parameters.

   Table 1 License file information

   Parameter	Description
   License SN	Indicates the serial number of the license file.
   Created	Indicates the time when the license file was created.
   Invalid Date	Indicates the expiration date of the license file.
   Service Type	Displays the service type and service version supported by the activated license.
   Disk Type and Capacity	On the License Management page, you can view license details of each service type, including the supported disk type and capacity.
   Feature	On the License Management page, you can view supported features of each service type.
   Specifications	On the License Management page, you can view the specifications of each feature.

4. Click Activate.
