Modifying a Region

Prerequisites

• You can modify the properties of the default and non-default regions in the default region. In a non-default region, you can only modify its own properties.
• Before changing the region domain name, ensure that the default object cluster is in normal status.

Procedure

1. Choose Settings > Object Service Settings > Global Namespace.
2. Click in the upper right corner of the box where the desired region resides.

   The Modify Region page is displayed on the right.

3. Modify the domain name of the region.
   

   • A domain name contains 3 to 253 characters, including lowercase letters, digits, and hyphens (-). A sub-domain name cannot start or end with a hyphen (-).
   • The domain name must contain a second-level domain name. Each sub-domain name contains 1 to 63 characters and is separated from each other using periods (.). The top-level domain name cannot contain digits only.
   • A maximum of eight domain names with no hierarchical relationship can be entered. Separate the domain names with semicolons (;).

4. Click OK.
