This operation enables you to upgrade a storage system.
Prerequisites
You have obtained the latest software upgrade or patch package.
Procedure
- On the menu bar, click
and select Upgrade.The Upgrade page is displayed on the right.
- Select Hot Patch or System Software.
- Upload the system software package.
- In Basic Service Package, click Please choose file, select the desired basic service upgrade package, and click Upload.
- After the upgrade package is uploaded successfully, you can view target version and release time on the current page.
- Click Details to view details about the component upgrade.
- Click Delete to select another service package.
- (Optional) If you need to upload a patch package, select Upload Patch Package, click Please choose file in the Patch Package area, select the desired patch package, and click Upload.
- After the patch package is uploaded successfully, you can view target patch version and release time on the current page.
- Click Details to view details about the component upgrade.
- You can click Delete to select another patch package.
- (Optional) Select Upgrade VBS compute nodes. The VBS compute nodes will be upgraded at the same time. You can deselect this option and upgrade the VBS nodes independently at another time.
- This option is available only when the system has VBS compute nodes to be upgraded.
- If you deselect this option, the VBS nodes will not be upgraded during the upgrade.
- Before the upgrade, the system checks whether the upgrade service (DeployManager) needs to be updated. If the update is not required, skip this step. If DeployManager needs to be updated, click Start to update it.
- After DeployManager is successfully updated, click Start in the Pre-upgrade Check area.
- After the pre-upgrade check is successful, click Upgrade.
The
Upgrade dialog box is displayed. You can view the upgrade progress on the current page.
- You can click Pause to pause the upgrade.
- You can click Rollback to roll back the system to the source version.
- You can click Continue to continue the upgrade.
- After the upgrade is successful, click Confirm.
- Import a hot patch.
- Select a patch package as required.
- Use the preset package: If a not-installed preset patch package is detected, you can activate the preset patch package to upload it. Check the version of the preset hot patch package. After confirming that the patch package can be used, click Activate.
- Upload a new package: In Patch Package, click Please choose file, select the desired basic service patch package, and click Upload.
- You can activate the preset patch package to upload it only when there is a not-installed preset patch package. If no preset patch package is detected, you can only perform the hot patch upgrade by uploading a patch package.
- After the upgrade package is uploaded successfully, you can view target patch version and release time on the current page.
- Click Details to view details about the component upgrade.
- You can click Delete to select another patch package.
- In Pre-upgrade Check, click Start.
- After the pre-upgrade check is successful, click Upgrade.
The
Upgrade dialog box is displayed. You can view the upgrade progress on the current page.
- You can click Pause to pause the upgrade.
- You can click Rollback to roll back the system to the source version.
- You can click Continue to continue the upgrade.
- After the upgrade is successful, click Confirm.
