Expanding a Volume

Procedure

1. Choose Resources > Resources > Volume > Volume.
2. Select the desired account from the Account drop-down list in the upper left corner.
3. Click More on the right of the desired volume and select Expand.

   The Expand Volume page is displayed.

4. Set parameters for expanding the capacity of the volume.
   1. In Added Capacity, specify the capacity you want to add.
   2. Select a capacity unit from the drop-down list.

      The unit can be MB, GB, or TB.

      

      For HyperMetro volumes, you need to expand the capacities of the volumes on both local and remote storage systems.

5. Click OK.
6. Confirm your operation as prompted.

Follow-Up Procedure

If the volume to be expanded is the source volume of a snapshot, you need to reactivate the snapshot to ensure that the snapshot capacity is the same as that of the source volume.
