Disabling a Local Windows Authentication User

To prevent a local Windows authentication user from accessing a share, you can disable the user. A disabled local Windows authentication user cannot access any share. You can enable it to allow it to access shares.

Prerequisites

Status of a local Windows authentication user is Enabled.

Procedure

  1. Choose Resources > Access > Authentication User > Windows Users > Local Authentication User.
  2. Select the desired account from the Account drop-down list in the upper left corner.
  3. Select one or more desired local Windows authentication users and click Disable.

    You can also click More on the right of a desired local Windows authentication user and select Disable.
