After a storage system is connected to a DNS server, you can access the storage system through the IP address.
Context
- A DNS server is used to resolve names of hosts in a domain.
- If you want to configure a standby DNS server, keep the domain names of the active and standby servers consistent.
Procedure
- Choose Resources > Access > Account.
- Click the name of the desired account and select the DNS tab.
- Click Configure.
The Configure DNS page is displayed on the right.
- Configure an IP address for the DNS service.
- Set Active DNS IP Address.
- (Optional) Set Standby DNS IP Address 1.
- (Optional) Set Standby DNS IP Address 2.
- (Optional) Test the connection between the DNS server and the storage system.
- You can click Test next to the DNS IP address to test its availability.
- You can click Test All to test the connection between the DNS server and storage system.
- Click Save.
