The storage space of a newly created storage pool cannot be identified by an application server. An application server can use the storage space of a storage pool only after the storage space is logically divided into multiple volumes and the volumes are mapped to hosts or host groups.
The Create Volume page is displayed.
Table 1 describes the related parameters.
Parameter |
Description |
|---|---|
Name |
Name of a newly created volume.
NOTE:
|
Capacity |
Size of a volume.
NOTE:
Storage system capacity equation: 1 PB = 1,024 TB, 1 TB = 1,024 GB, 1 GB = 1,024 MB, 1 MB = 1,024 KB, 1 KB = 1,024 bytes. |
Quantity |
Number of the newly created volumes.
NOTE:
|
Start No. |
Start No. of the newly created volumes.
NOTE:
|
Storage Pool |
Storage pool to which a newly created volume belongs.
NOTE:
You can click Create to create a storage pool. |
QoS Policy |
QoS policy of a volume.
NOTE:
You can click Create to create a QoS policy. |

Parameter |
Description |
|---|---|
Data Encryption |
Whether to enable the data encryption function. After this function is enabled, the system generates a data key to encrypt the data written to the volume.
NOTE:
|
Encryption Algorithm |
After Data Encryption is enabled, you need to select an encryption algorithm. The value can be XTS-AES-128, XTS-AES-256, or XTS-SM4.
