Overview of DeviceManager

DeviceManager is a storage management system. Before using DeviceManager, check the validity of the port range used by DeviceManager on the client.

There are two types of products, which provide the converged service and block service, respectively. The converged service includes the file service, object service, and HDFS service. For detailed functions provided by each type of product, see Table 1 and Table 2.

The functions supported by the storage system may vary based on permissions of the imported license.

Home	Allows you to monitor the cluster and its components and view related information.
Resources	Resource: Namespace allows you to provision and maintain storage resources. Dtree allows you to allocate and maintain dtrees of namespaces. Share allows users and programs to access files on a remote system as if accessing local files. Services allows you to manage services of the storage system. Storage Pool allows you to integrate storage resources on multiple nodes for centralized management. Access: Account allows you to create and modify accounts that are used to access different services. Multiple accounts can share the same storage hardware resources in a storage infrastructure where various protocols are employed without affecting data security and privacy of each other. Authentication User allows you to create and manage users who are used to access NFS shares, CIFS shares, and the object service. DPC enables upper-layer applications to access storage space more intelligently. Service Network allows you to configure and manage the service networks of the file service, HDFS service, and object service. Tuning SmartQuota limits the number and size of files in namespaces or namespace dtrees. SmartQoS supports namespace-level upper limit traffic control and resource isolation. SmartTier automatically stores data in different locations based on specified policies. SmartCache stores data on high-performance NVMe SSDs to accelerate data access.
Data Protection	Namespace allows you to manage data protection for namespaces. Snapshot allows you to manage snapshots of storage devices. Remote Replication Pair allows you to set up a replication relationship between local and remote storage devices to synchronize data in primary resources to secondary resources on remote devices. If data at one end is lost due to a disaster, data at the other end is available, ensuring data security and availability. Dtree allows you to manage data protection for dtrees. Snapshot allows you to manage the HyperSnap feature of storage devices. Configuration: Replication Cluster allows you to manage remote replication and HyperMetro services in replication clusters.
Monitor	Alarms and Events allows you to view and export alarms, logs and details about system events. Performance Monitoring allows you to monitor the performance of selected objects by creating performance statistics charts. Task Center allows you to view information about tasks created by the system and the task parameters. Data Pilot allows you to retrieve the file list using the system metadata or custom metadata fields.
Cluster	Cluster: Control Cluster allows you to view and modify the cluster name and view information about the selected nodes in the cluster. Hardware allows you to view details of nodes, disks, and ports, as well as manage data cluster modules. Network: Network Topology allows you to view the network structure and node information. Route allows you to view and configure route information for physical ports, bond ports, and VLANs, implementing data transmission across network segments.
Settings	Object Service Settings allows you to use functions of the object service when the object service is supported by the storage system. This module is available only when the object service is enabled. Time Settings allows you to view and adjust the system time settings. License Management allows you to view license information as well as import and activate a license file. Certificate allows you to view and manage certificates on the current device. User and Security allows you to manage users, configure security policies, configure domain authentication, manage sessions, and set access control. Alarm Settings sends fault information to email addresses, mobile phone numbers, or computers of the related personnel. SNMP Management allows you to configure SNMP, query and set system information, or receive system alarms.

Service Network allows you to configure and manage the service network of the block service. Tuning: SmartQoS allows you to adjust data flows and properly allocate storage resources.
Data Protection	Volume allows you to manage data protection features for volumes. HyperMetro Pair allows you to achieve real-time data synchronization and uninterrupted service access in case of faults. Snapshot allows you to manage snapshots of storage devices. Remote Replication Pair allows you to set up a replication relationship between local and remote storage devices to synchronize data in primary resources to secondary resources on remote devices. If data on a storage device is lost due to a disaster, data on the other storage device is available, ensuring data security and availability. Protection Group allows you to manage data protection features for consistency groups. HyperMetro Consistency Group allows you to manage HyperMetro pairs added to consistency groups in a unified manner. Remote Replication Consistency Group allows you to manage remote replication pairs added to consistency groups in a unified manner. Quorum Server determines which site in a HyperMetro pair continues providing services, maximizing service continuity. Replication Cluster allows you to manage remote replication and HyperMetro services in replication clusters. HyperMetro Domain allows you to manage and configure HyperMetro domains, enabling the HyperMetro feature of a storage system.
