Managing Alarm Thresholds

After you set thresholds for system resources, when thresholds are reached, the system generates alarms for notification.

Precautions

If there is a DPC-only node in the cluster, you can set the alarm threshold only after enabling the FSA process on the DPC node. After the alarm threshold is set, disable the process.

Procedure

  1. Choose Settings > Alarm Settings > Alarm Thresholds.

  2. Set alarm thresholds.

    Table 1 describes related parameters.
    Table 1 Alarm threshold parameters

    Parameter

    Description

    Disk Capacity Alarm Threshold (%)

When the ratio of the number of healthy disks that reach this threshold to the total number of healthy disks in the storage pool is less than 70%, an alarm is generated.

    CPU Usage Alarm Threshold (%)

When CPU usage reaches this parameter value, an alarm is generated.

    Memory Usage Alarm Threshold (%)

When memory usage reaches this parameter value, an alarm is generated.

    Port Usage Alarm Threshold (%)

When port usage reaches this parameter value, an alarm is generated.
