Modifying a DNS

This operation enables you to modify the IP address and number of resources of a DNS.

Procedure

  1. Choose Settings > Object Service Settings > DNS > Object Service.
  2. Click More on the right of the desired DNS and select Modify.
  3. Modify the DNS parameters. Table 1 describes related parameters.

    Monitoring IP Address

    Indicates the IP address to be monitored.

    [Value range]

    The value can be an IPv4 or IPv6 address.

    Service Address

    Indicates the IP address used to provide services for external systems.

    [Value range]

    When Service Type is set to OSC, the value can be an IPv4 address or domain name. A domain name contains 3 to 253 characters, including letters, digits, and hyphens (-) and cannot start or end with a hyphen (-). The domain name must contain a second-level domain name. Each sub-domain name contains 1 to 63 characters and is separated from each other using periods (.). The top-level domain name cannot contain digits only. When Service Type is set to POE, LS, or REP, the value can be an IPv4 address.

    Resource

    The default value is 1 and does not need to be modified.

  4. Click OK.
