Setting Default QoS Policy Parameters

This section describes how to set default QoS policy parameters, which will be applied to all QoS policies.

Procedure

  1. Choose Resources > Tuning > SmartQoS > General.
  2. Click Default QoS Policy Parameters.

    The Default QoS Policy Parameters page is displayed.

  3. Set default QoS policy parameters.

    Table 1 describes related parameters.

    Parameter

    Description

    Max. OPS

    Indicates the maximum read/write operations that can be performed on a single namespace per second.

    Basic Bandwidth

    Indicates the basic amount of I/O data that can be processed by a single namespace per second.

    Max. Bandwidth

    Indicates the maximum amount of I/O data that can be processed by a single namespace per second.

    Bandwidth Density

    Indicates the bandwidth increment when the capacity of a single namespace is increased by 1 TB. This parameter value is restricted by Max. Bandwidth.

    Max. Concurrent Connections

    Indicates the maximum number of connections that can be concurrently established between a single namespace and the cluster.

    Max. Open Files

    Indicates the maximum number of files of a single namespace that can be opened at the same time.

    Max. Lock Held

    Indicates the maximum number of locks that can be held by a single namespace at the same time.

  4. Click OK.
