Viewing SmartQoS Policies

This section describes how to view basic information about a QoS policy.

Context

Procedure

  1. Choose Resources > Tuning > SmartQoS > General.
  2. In the function pane, view information about a QoS policy. Table 1 describes related parameters.

    Table 1 QoS policy parameters

    Parameter

    Description

    Name

Indicates the name of a QoS policy.

    NOTE:

You can click the name of a QoS policy to view its general information and associated objects.

    ID

Indicates the ID of a QoS policy.

    QoS Policy Mode

Indicates the mode of a QoS policy. Possible values are:

    • Disable QoS: Do not enable the SmartQoS feature.
    • By namespace usage: The system dynamically calculates the maximum bandwidth based on the used namespace capacity.
    • By global configuration: Use the default parameter values.
    • By storage package: The system calculates the maximum bandwidth based on the larger value between used namespace capacity and storage package capacity.
    • By specified value: QoS upper limits, including the maximum OPS and maximum bandwidth, are manually specified. For other QoS policy parameters, the default values are used.

    Max. OPS

Indicates the maximum read/write operations that can be performed on a single namespace per second.

    Max. Bandwidth

Indicates the maximum amount of I/O data that can be processed by a single namespace per second.

    Storage Package Capacity

This parameter is required when QoS Policy Mode is set to By storage package capacity.
