Configuring Authorized IP Addresses

This operation enables you to specify the IP addresses that are allowed to access the storage system to prevent unauthorized access. You can add specific IP addresses or IP address segments that are allowed to access the storage system to the access control list.

Procedure

  1. Choose Settings > User and Security > Access Control.
  2. Add IP addresses that are allowed to access DeviceManager.

    1. Click Add.

      The Add IP Address/Address Segment dialog box is displayed.

    2. Enter an IP address or IP address segment that is allowed to access DeviceManager.
      • To add an IP address segment, select IP Address Segment and specify Start IP Address and End IP Address.
      • To add an IP address, select IP Address and specify IP Address.
    3. Click OK. Confirm your operation as prompted.

      In the event that the access control is enabled, if an IP address or IP address segment in the IP address management list is no longer allowed to access DeviceManager, you can select it and click Remove to remove it from the list. However, at least one IP address or IP address segment must be retained.

  3. (Optional) Set Access Control Status to Enabled.

    Access Control Status can be enabled only when IP Address and Address Segment List is not empty.
