This section describes how to delete volumes that are no longer needed to release storage space.
Prerequisites
- Performance monitoring for volumes has been disabled.
- The volumes to be deleted are not mounted or mapped to any host.
Context
If a volume has snapshots or clones, after the volume is deleted, the storage space of the volume will not be released until the snapshots or clones are deleted.
Procedure
- Choose Resources > Resources > Volume > Volume.
- Select the desired account from the Account drop-down list in the upper left corner.
- Click More on the right of the desired volume and select Delete Now.
- Confirm your operation as prompted.
