This section describes how to enable the data pilot service to use the SmartIndexing and audit log functions.
Prerequisites
At least one basic service (HDFS, file, or object service) is enabled on a node.
Procedure
- Choose Resources > Resources > Services > Value-Added Service.
- Click Enable Service in the Data Pilot area.
The Enable Service page is displayed.
- Deploy the data pilot service.
- Click
, select the data pilot service package file, and click Open.
- Click Upload to upload the data pilot service package.
- After the data pilot service package is uploaded successfully, you can view its name, version, and release time on the current page.
- Click Details on the right of the Data Pilot Service Package Name to view details about the data pilot service package.
- In the Available Nodes area on the right, select the nodes for installing the data pilot service and they are added to the Selected Nodes area on the right.
The number of nodes to be selected is determined based on the product planning, which ranges from 3 to 40.
- Click Deploy.
- You can click More on the right of a node and select Details to view the installation details.
- If the installation fails, click Uninstall Service to cancel the installation or click Retry to reinstall the service.
- Click Next.
- Create a data pilot service cluster.
- Select the number of data copies of the data pilot service.
The data pilot service uses the multi-copy storage mode to store data. Two-copy, three-copy, and four-copy are supported. You are advised to select the three-copy storage mode. If the number of data pilot service nodes is 3 or 4, handle fault alarms (including disk faults, node faults, and data pilot process faults) on the nodes in a timely manner to ensure that enough data copies can be generated.
- Select the type of disks to store data pilot service data.
- In the list, select the nodes and disks to run the data pilot service.
Select at least one disk from each node, and ensure that the total capacity difference between disks on any two nodes does not exceed 40%.
Disks cannot be selected and will be filtered out if any of the following conditions is met:
- The disk slot ID is greater than 5000.
- The disk capacity is less than 200 GB.
- Click OK.
- Click Close.
