Adding a Remote Device

Prerequisites

The replication IP addresses of the local and remote replication clusters are on the same network segment.

Procedure

1. Choose Data Protection > Configuration > Replication Cluster.
2. Click More on the right of the desired replication cluster and select Add Remote Device.

   The Add Remote Device page is displayed.

   

   You can also click the name of the desired replication cluster to go to the cluster details page and select the Remote Devices tab.

3. Set parameters for the remote device. Table 1 describes related parameters.

   Table 1 Remote device parameters

   Parameter	Description
   Local Device Replication IP Address	Select a replication network IP address of a local device.
   Remote Device Replication IP Address	Indicates the replication IP address of a replication device in the remote replication cluster. NOTE: If there are multiple devices in the remote replication cluster, you can use any of them.
   Pre-Shared Key Label	Identifies the pre-shared key of a cluster. NOTE: Enter the pre-shared key label of a remote replication cluster.
   Pre-Shared Key	Implements identity authentication. This parameter functions together with Pre-Shared Key Label. NOTE: Enter the pre-shared key of a remote replication cluster.

4. Click OK.
