Managing an IP Address Pool

This section describes how to add, modify, or remove an IP address pool of a zone.

Procedure

  1. Choose Resources > Access > Service Network.
  2. Select the desired account and subnet from the Account and Subnet drop-down lists, respectively.
  3. Click More on the right of the desired zone and select IP Address Pool.

    The IP Address Pool page is displayed.

  4. Configure the IP address pool.

    To prevent IP address conflicts among multiple nodes, do not configure static IP addresses for service ports of storage nodes in advance.

    • Adding an IP address
      1. Click Add.

        The Add IP Address page is displayed.

      2. Configure IP address information.

        Table 1 describes related parameters.

        Plan IP addresses properly and ensure that the added IP addresses are not used by other services.

        Parameter

        Description

        Type

        Indicates the IP address adding type. Possible options are Single Address and Address Segment.

        IP Address/Mask

        The value is the planned service IP address and subnet mask when Type is set to Single Address.

        Start IP Address/Mask

        The value is the planned start service IP address and subnet mask when Type is set to Address Segment.

        End IP Address/Mask

        The value is the planned end service IP address and subnet mask when Type is set to Address Segment.

        NOTE:

        A maximum of 512 IP addresses can be contained in an IP address segment.

      3. Click OK.
    • Removing an IP address
      Select one or more desired IP addresses and click Remove.

      You can also click More on the right of a desired IP address and select Remove.

  5. Click Close.
