Setting a Deletion Period

Prerequisites

A periodical deletion policy has been configured for a file directory.

Procedure

1. Choose Resources > Tuning > SmartTier > Deletion Policy.
2. Select the desired account from the Account drop-down list in the upper left corner.
3. Select a file directory from the list on the left and click Execute At.

   The Execute At page is displayed.

4. Set the deletion period.
   

   The set execution policy takes effect for all migration policies and deletion policies of the directory.

   • The deletion policy is executed at the specified time every day.
     1. Set the interval for executing the deletion policy, in days.
     2. Set the time point for executing the deletion policy. The time point is based on the time zone where the storage system is located. The value can be 0, 15, 30, or 45 minutes in each hour from 00:00 to 23:45.
   • The deletion policy is executed at the specified time every week.

     Set the time point in a week for executing the deletion policy. The time point is based on the time zone where the storage system is located. The value can be 0, 15, 30, or 45 minutes in each hour from 00:00 on Monday to 23:45 on Sunday.

   • The deletion policy is executed at the specified time every month.

     Set the time point in a month for executing the deletion policy. The time point is based on the time zone where the storage system is located. The value can be 0, 15, 30, or 45 minutes in each hour from 00:00 on the first day of a month to 23:45 on the last day of a month.

5. Click OK.
