This section describes how to switch the roles of primary and secondary resources of a remote replication pair. The data synchronization direction changes as the primary/secondary relationship changes.
Prerequisites
A primary/secondary switchover can be performed on a remote replication pair when the following requirements are met:
Running Status is Split, Secondary Resource Data Status is Consistent, and Status of Secondary Resource Protection is Read/Write.
Procedure
- Choose Data Protection > Protection Entity > Namespace > Remote Replication Pair.
- Select a desired account from the Account drop-down list in the upper left corner.
- Select the remote replication pair for which you want to perform a primary/secondary switchover and click Switch Over Primary/Secondary Resources.
You can also click More on the right of a desired remote replication pair and select Switch Over Primary/Secondary Resources.
- Confirm your operation as prompted.
