Modifying a Region

This section describes how to modify the information about a region.

Prerequisites

Procedure

  1. Choose Settings > Object Service Settings > Global Namespace.
  2. Click in the upper right corner of the box where the desired region resides.

The Modify Region page is displayed on the right.

  3. Modify the domain name of the region.

    • A domain name contains 3 to 253 characters, including lowercase letters, digits, and hyphens (-). A sub-domain name cannot start or end with a hyphen (-).
    • A domain name must contain a second-level domain name. Each sub-domain name contains 1 to 63 characters and is separated from each other using periods (.). The top-level domain name cannot contain digits only.
    • A maximum of 128 domain names with no hierarchical relationship can be entered. Separate the domain names with semicolons (;).
    • You can set a domain name for each region as the access point of the object service in the region. Plan and apply for region domain names in advance based on the network configuration.
    • The number of region domain names must be the same as that of global domain names.

  4. Click OK.
