Configuring a DNS Server

After a storage system is connected to a DNS server, you can use the domain name to access external systems.

Context

Procedure

  1. Choose Resources > Access > Account.
  2. Click the name of the desired account and select the DNS tab.
  3. Click Configure.

    The Configure DNS page is displayed on the right.

  4. Configure an IP address for the DNS service.

    1. Set Active DNS IP Address.
    2. (Optional) Set Standby DNS IP Address 1.
    3. (Optional) Set Standby DNS IP Address 2.
    4. (Optional) Test the connection between the DNS server and the storage system.
      • You can click Test next to the DNS IP address to test its availability.
      • You can click Test All to test the connection between the DNS server and storage system.

  5. Click Save.
