Viewing Volumes

This section describes how to view information about volumes.

Context

Procedure

  1. Choose Resources > Resources > Volume > Volume.
  2. Select a desired account from the Account drop-down list in the upper left corner.
  3. View information about the volumes in the function pane. Table 1 describes related parameters.

    Parameter

    Description

    ID

    ID of a volume.

    Name

    Name of a volume.

    Health Status

    Health status of a volume.

    Running Status

    Running status of a volume.

    Used Capacity

    Used capacity of a volume.

    Total Capacity

    Total capacity of a volume.

    Capacity Usage (%)

    Ratio of Used Capacity to Total Capacity.

    Protection Capacity

    Data protection capacity of a volume.

    WWN

    World wide name (WWN) of a volume.

    Created

    Time when a volume was created.

    Mapped

    Whether a volume is mapped to a host.

    Volume Type

    Type of a volume, including:

    • Performance monitoring volume: used to monitor data writing in Per-Second Performance Monitoring. To create a performance monitoring volume, choose Settings > Monitoring Settings > Per-Second Performance Monitoring.
    • Common volume: a volume mapped to an application server.

    Clone Volume

    Whether a volume is a clone volume.

    Source Snapshot Name

    Name of the source snapshot of a clone volume.

    Source Volume Name

    Name of the source volume of a clone volume.

    Owning Storage Pool

    Storage pool to which a volume belongs.

    Data Encryption

    Whether data encryption is enabled for a volume.

    NOTE:

    To use the data encryption function, you need to import an advanced license.

    Encryption Algorithm

    Encryption algorithm used after data encryption is enabled.

    You can click the name of a volume to view its mapping and snapshot information.
