This section describes how to create a third-party quorum server for HyperMetro domains. When the communication between storage devices in a HyperMetro pair becomes abnormal, the quorum server decides which site continues to provide services, thereby greatly improving service continuity.
A replication cluster has been configured.
The Create Quorum Server page is displayed.
Parameter |
Description |
|---|---|
Name |
Name of the quorum server. [Value range]
|
Active IP Address |
IP address of the quorum server. |

Standby IP Address |
Standby IP address of the quorum server. |
Standby Port |
ID of the standby port of the quorum server. The value ranges from 1 to 65535. |
After creating the quorum server, you need to replace certificates for the storage clusters at both ends of the HyperMetro pair and for the quorum server to ensure normal communication between the storage systems and quorum server. For details, see Replacing the HyperMetro Arbitration Security Certificate.
