This section describes how to adjust a scan policy in a timely manner so that the antivirus service can scan for viruses more accurately.
The Modify On-Access Scan Policy page is displayed on the right.

File Type Not Scanned |
Type of files that do not require virus scanning. In the File Type Not Scanned text box, enter file name extensions and separate them with commas (,), semicolons (;), or by pressing Enter. You can enter maximum of 200 file types. A single file type contains 1 to 8 characters, including only letters, digits, asterisks (*), question marks (?), and underscores (_). |
File Path Not Scanned |
Path of files that do not require virus scanning. In the File Path Not Scanned text box, enter file paths and separate them with colons (:) or by pressing Enter. You can enter maximum of 100 file paths. Each file path contains 1 to 1791 characters, must start with a slash (/), and cannot contain special characters: \":|<>*?. |
Largest Scannable File |
Select Limit and set a file size. Files whose size is smaller than or equal to the value will be scanned for viruses.

Timeout (Seconds) |
Timeout interval for virus scanning. The default value is 5 seconds. |
Allow Access upon Timeout |
Whether to allow file access after virus scanning times out.
NOTE:
If you do not select this parameter and the Trigger Policy is set to Open/Close a file, files cannot be opened when no antivirus server is available or the scanning task times out. |
