Configuring External Service Parameters

This section describes how to configure information about the regional location service (RLS) and global location service (GLS), as well as authentication information.

Procedure

  1. Choose Settings > Object Service Settings > External Service.
  2. Set the external service parameters. Table 1 describes related parameters.

    Table 1 External service parameters

    Parameter

    Description

    GLS Public Primary Service Address

Public primary service address of the GLS. Set this parameter to the LS domain name of the default region or the service plane floating IP address of a storage node. If there are multiple clusters, set this parameter to a domain name.

    [Value range]

The value is an IPv4 address, an IPv6 address, or a domain name. A domain name contains 3 to 253 characters, including lowercase letters, digits, and hyphens (-), and cannot start or end with a hyphen (-). The domain name must contain a second-level domain name. Each sub-domain name contains 1 to 63 characters and is separated from each other using periods (.). The top-level domain name cannot contain digits only.

    [Example]

    192.168.1.100

    GLS Internal Primary Service Address

Internal primary service address of the GLS.

    RLS Primary Service Address

Primary service address of the RLS. Set this parameter to the LS domain name of the current region or the service plane floating IP address of a storage node.

  3. Modify the authentication configuration.

    • Modify POE authentication information. Table 2 describes related parameters.
      Table 2 POE authentication parameters

      Parameter

      Description

      URL

URL of the POE authentication server.

      NOTE:

Set the value to the POE authentication service domain name in the default region.

      [Value range]

      • The value is an IPv4 address, an IPv6 address, or a domain name.
      • The port ranges from 1 to 65535 and is optional.

      [Example]

      192.168.1.1:30443 or www.test.com:30443

      NOTICE:

If you modify the URL of the authentication server when services are running, the ongoing services will fail and existing accounts cannot access data. You are advised to perform the operation during off-peak hours.

      AK

AK of the POE authentication server.

      SK

      URL of the IAM server.

      NOTE:

Set the value to the IAM authentication service domain name in the default region.

      [Value range]

      • You can enter an IPv4 address or domain name. A domain name contains 3 to 253 characters, including lowercase letters, digits, and hyphens (-), and cannot start or end with a hyphen (-).
