Creating a Quota Policy

A quota policy limits the quota of paths mounted to multiple clusters. A path policy determines the mounting relationship between paths and clusters. Therefore, a valid quota policy must have a corresponding path policy configured.

Prerequisites

Quota policies are supported only in local federation and gateway federation modes.

Context

The following describes the restrictions of the number of quota policies:

If SmartTakeover is enabled for multiple namespaces in an cluster and SmartTakeover is set to the gateway federation mode or local federation mode for all of these namespaces, the sum of quota policies of all namespaces cannot exceed 1000.

Procedure

Choose Resources > Resources > Namespace.
Select a desired account from the Account drop-down list in the upper left corner.
Click a desired namespace name to go to the details page. Choose SmartTakeover > Quota Policies.
Click Create.
The Create Quota Policy page is displayed on the right.

Set the quota policy. Table 1 describes related parameters.

Parameter	Description
Directory Path	This parameter is an absolute path name and must match a path policy using a regular expression. If no path policy is configured, the quota policy does not take effect.
File Quantity Quota	Number of files that can be forwarded by a path policy. [Value range] The value ranges from 0 to 4294967295. The value 0 indicates no limit.
Space Quota (MB)	Capacity allowed to be forwarded by a path policy. [Value range] The value ranges from 0 to 4294967295. The value 0 indicates no limit.

Click OK.
