Mapping Objects to a Host Group

This section describes how to map one or more volumes or snapshots to a host group.

Procedure

  1. Choose Resources > Access > Host Group.
  2. Select a desired account from the Account drop-down list in the upper left corner.
  3. Click More on the right of a desired host group and select Map.

    The Map Object page is displayed.

  4. Map volumes or snapshots to the host group as required.

    • Mapping volumes

      Select Volume in Object Type. In the Available Volumes area, select one or more volumes and they are added to the Selected Volumes area on the right automatically.

      You can click Create Volume to create a volume.

    • Mapping snapshots

      Select Snapshot in Object Type. In the Available Snapshots area, select one or more snapshots and they are added to the Selected Snapshots area on the right automatically.

      You can click Create Snapshot to create a snapshot.

  5. Click OK.
  6. Confirm your operation as prompted.
