Viewing Storage Pool Information

Context

• On the storage pool management page, click to refresh storage pools.
• On the storage pool management page, click to export a list of storage pools.
• On the storage pool management page, click or next to a parameter and enter a keyword or select a parameter value to search for desired storage pools.
• On the storage pool management page, click and select desired storage pool parameters to be viewed.
• On the storage pool management page, click or next to a parameter to change the display order of storage pools.

Procedure

1. Choose Resources > Resources > Storage Pool.
2. View information about the storage pools in the function pane. Table 1 describes related parameters.

   Table 1 Storage pool parameters

   Parameter	Description
   Name	Name of a storage pool.
   Storage Pool ID	ID of a storage pool.
   Status	Status of a storage pool. Possible values are Normal, Faulty, Write-protected, Stopped, Faulty and write-protected, Migrating data, Degraded, Rebuilding data, Migrating services, and Unknown. NOTE: When expanding or reducing the capacity of a storage pool on DeviceManager, the task is at the Notify EDS scale out or Clear EDS on the storage node step, and the storage pool is in normal status, Status of the storage pool will be displayed as Migrating services. On the CLI, Migrating services is not a possible value of storage pool status. A storage pool in such status will be displayed as Normal.
   Service Type	Service type of a storage pool.
   Key Service	Internal key service: The built-in key management function of the system is used. External key service: An external key management server is used for management.
   Total Usable Capacity	Actual usable physical disk space of a storage pool (Total physical disk capacity – Capacity consumed by EC redundancy – Capacity lost due to hardware faults).
   Used Capacity	Used physical disk space of a storage pool. NOTE: The Used Capacity of a storage pool consists of user data, snapshot protection space, non-deleted volume space in the recycle bin, E2E DIF verification data, remote replication/HyperMetro differential logs, and private snapshot space for asynchronous remote replication. Therefore, the value of Used Capacity of a storage pool may be greater than the sum of Used Capacity of all volumes in the storage pool.
   Capacity Usage	Ratio of Used Capacity to Total Usable Capacity of a storage pool.
   Total Available Capacity	Total amount of data that can be written into a storage pool.
   Used Available Capacity	Total amount of data that has been written into a storage pool.
   Hot Spare Space	Percentage of the hot spare space in the storage pool space.

   

   You can click the name of a storage pool to view its summary and disk pool information. Table 2 describes related disk pool parameters.

   Parameter	Description
   Disk Pool	Name of a disk pool.
   ID	ID of a disk pool.
   Status	Status of a disk pool. Possible values are Normal, Faulty, Stopped, Migrating data, Degraded, Rebuilding data, and Unknown.
   Nodes	Number of nodes in a disk pool.
   Redundancy Policy	Redundancy policy of a disk pool.
   Main Storage	Main storage type of a disk pool.
   Main Storage Disks	Number of main storage disks in a disk pool.
   Cache Disks	Number of cache disks in a disk pool.
   Security Level	Security level of a disk pool.
   Remaining Data for Increasing Fragments	Amount of data for which data fragments are to be increased to meet the current redundancy policy of a disk pool.
