Converting a Scheduled Snapshot to a User Snapshot

Context

User snapshot: common snapshots created using the snapshot feature.

Scheduled snapshot: scheduled snapshots created using the snapshot schedule feature.

When the number of scheduled snapshots of a member in a schedule reaches the maximum value, the system deletes the earliest snapshot and generates a new snapshot. After a scheduled snapshot is converted to a user snapshot, the data of the scheduled snapshot will not be deleted.

Procedure

1. Choose Data Protection > Protection Entity > Dtree > Snapshot.
2. Select a desired account from the Account drop-down list in the upper left corner.
3. Select the owning namespace of desired dtrees.
4. Select a dtree for which you want to modify snapshots, click More on the right of a desired snapshot, and select Convert to User Snapshot.
