Configuring a Policy-based Route for a VLAN Port

This operation enables you to configure a policy-based route for a VLAN. If the storage network has multiple IP addresses, you need to configure a policy-based route for each VLAN port on each storage node.

Procedure

  1. Choose Cluster > Network > Port and Route > VLAN Port.
  2. Select a desired VLAN port and click Configure Policy-based Route.

The Configure Policy-based Route page is displayed.

You can also click More on the right of a desired VLAN port and select Manage Policy-based Route. On the Manage Policy-based Route page that is displayed, click Add to configure a policy-based route.

  3. If a VLAN port is configured with multiple IP addresses, you need to select an IP address to configure the route.

If the storage network has multiple IP addresses, select an IP address in the storage network segment. After the storage network is configured, the system automatically configures the policy-based route for the control network. Do not manually configure the policy-based route.

  4. (Optional) Configure a gateway.

A gateway needs to be configured for communication across network segments. If IP addresses are in the same network segment, the configuration of the gateway is not required. If capacity expansion is performed across network segments, it is recommended that the gateway be configured first.

  5. Click OK.
