This section describes how to create a scan policy that is used by antivirus servers to scan CIFS-based shared files for viruses.
The storage system and antivirus servers are running properly.
The Create On-Demand Scan Policy page is displayed on the right.

Type of files that do not require virus scanning. In the File Type Not Scanned text box, enter file name extensions and separate them with commas (,), semicolons (;), or by pressing Enter. You can enter maximum of 200 file types. A single file type contains 1 to 8 characters, including only letters, digits, asterisks (*), question marks (?), and underscores (_). |
File Path Not Scanned |
Path of files that do not require virus scanning. In the File Path Not Scanned text box, enter file paths and separate them with colons (:) or by pressing Enter. You can enter maximum of 100 file paths. Each file path contains 1 to 1791 characters, must start with a slash (/), and cannot contain special characters: \":|<>*?. |
Largest Scannable File |
Select Limit and set a file size. Files whose size is smaller than or equal to the value will be scanned for viruses.
NOTE:
If you do not select Limit, the size of files to be scanned for viruses is not limited. |
