Disabling On-demand Scan

After namespace scan is disabled, antivirus servers do not scan CIFS-based shared files for viruses.

Prerequisites

An on-demand scan policy has been configured for a namespace, and on-demand scan is enabled.

Procedure

  1. Choose Settings > Data Security > Antivirus Service > Namespace Scan Tasks.
  2. Select a desired account from the Account drop-down list in the upper left corner.
  3. Select a namespace scan task for which you want to disable on-demand scan, click On-Demand Scan, and select Disable.

    You can also click More on the right of a desired scan task and select Disable On-Demand Scan.
