Setting an Authentication Type

This section describes how to determine the type of users who can access FTP shares.

The FTP service has been enabled.
Before modifying the FTP authentication type for an account, clear all FTP shares under the account.

Choose Resources > Resources > Share > FTP Share.
Select a desired account from the Account drop-down list in the upper left corner.
Click Set Authentication Type.
The Set Authentication Type page is displayed on the right.
Select an authentication type, which can be Windows or UNIX.
Click OK.
