This section describes how to split a remote replication pair if you want to enable the secondary resource to save the data of the primary resource at a specific point in time, interrupt the remote replication link for maintenance, or expand the network bandwidth. After a remote replication pair is split, data written to the primary resource by an application server will not be synchronized to the secondary resource. This will cause data inconsistency between the primary and secondary resources.

If the initial synchronization of a remote replication pair is not completed, splitting the remote replication pair will cause the secondary resource data to be unavailable. Therefore, exercise caution when performing this operation.
You can also click More on the right of a desired remote replication pair and select Split.
