Modify the roles of the clusters in a replication group.
Prerequisites
- The replication group can be modified only for the default cluster.
- During service provisioning, you are advised not to change the role of a site. Otherwise, service failure may occur.
Procedure
- Choose Data Protection > Configuration > Cross-Site DR > Replication Group.
- In the function pane, select a desired replication group from the list on the left and choose Operation > Modify in the upper right corner.
The Modify XXX page is displayed on the right.
- Modify the Cluster Type, Replication Mode, and Auto Takeover of passive clusters in the replication group.
- There must be at least one active cluster.
- If only one active cluster is selected, you can specify a passive cluster among all selected passive clusters to automatically take over services in case of a fault of the active cluster.
- If the policy type of the replication group is EC, the replication mode of clusters in the replication group cannot be modified.
- Click OK.
- A high-risk warning message will be displayed in the following scenarios. Confirm the operation as prompted.
- The synchronization link latency is greater than 10 ms when synchronous replication clusters exist.
- A passive cluster that automatically takes over services is modified.
- If synchronous replication clusters exist and the priority of the synchronous replication clusters is lower than that of asynchronous replication clusters:
- The DNS priority of asynchronous replication clusters is higher than that of synchronous replication clusters when both synchronous and asynchronous replication clusters are active.
- Synchronous replication clusters are passive when a passive asynchronous replication cluster exists and auto takeover is enabled.
- Synchronous replication clusters are passive or passive (auto takeover) when an active asynchronous replication cluster exists.
