Expanding the Capacity of a Replication Cluster

This section describes how to expand the capacity of a replication cluster to meet service requirements.

Procedure

  1. Choose Data Protection > Configuration > Replication Cluster.
  2. Click More on the right of a desired replication cluster and select Expand Capacity.

The Expand Capacity page is displayed.

  3. Add replication nodes.

    1. Select the nodes to be added to the replication cluster.
    2. Click Submit.
    3. Wait until the submission is successful, and then click Next.

  4. Configure the network.

    1. Configure network information for replication nodes. Table 1 describes the related parameters.
Table 1 Replication node network parameters

      Parameter

      Description

      Transmission Protocol

Transmission protocol of the replication network. TCP is supported.

      IP Address Range

IP address range of the replication network.

      NOTE:
      • Replication IP addresses cannot be the IP addresses of other network planes.
      • The replication network cannot use the same subnet as other networks.

      Subnet Mask/Prefix

Subnet mask of a replication IP address. This parameter identifies the subnet to which a replication IP address belongs.

      Port

Port used by an IP address.

    2. Click Preview.
    3. Click Submit.

  5. Wait until the submission is successful, and then click Cancel.
