This section describes how to create a placement policy. The placement policy determines the disk pool to which files in the namespace are written.
A namespace has been created.
The placement policy created for a dtree itself is preferentially used. If a dtree is not created with a placement policy, it inherits the placement policy of its parent namespace.
By default, the SmartTier feature is disabled by the storage system. When you go to the SmartTier page for the first time, you need to click Enable to enable the SmartTier feature. After SmartTier is enabled, you can log in to the CLI and run the following command to disable it.
change tier_global_parameter tier_switch=off service_type=Service type
The Create Policy page is displayed.
