Adding a Port

This operation enables you to configure bond ports based on service requirements.

Precautions

The Manage Bond Port page can be displayed only by clicking the link available on the page for initializing the configuration (see Initializing the Configuration), initializing the object service (see Configuring the Object Service > Initializing the Object Service), expanding the capacity of the service network of the object service (see Configuring the Object Service > Managing the Service Network > Expanding the Capacity of the Service Network), configuring the replication network of the object service (see Configuring the Object Service > Managing the Service Network > Configuring the Replication Network), and adding nodes to the cluster (see Managing Storage Settings > Adding Nodes to a Cluster).

Procedure

  1. Click on the right of the Port area.

    The Manage Bond Port page is displayed.

    You can also click Preview, click More on the right of a node in the table displayed on the page, and select Manage Bond Port.

  2. Click Add.

    The Create Bond Port page is displayed.

  3. Configure the port information. Table 1 describes related parameters.

    Parameter

    Description

    Bond Port Name

    Indicates the name of the bond port.

    Transmission Protocol

    Indicates the transmission protocol of the bond port.

    Physical Port

    Indicates the physical port to be bound.

    Bond Mode

    Indicates the bond mode of the port.

    • bond1: active/standby mode
    • bond4: dynamic link aggregation mode

    MTU (Bytes)

    Indicates the maximum transmission unit of the bond port.

  4. Click OK.
