Creating a Local Authentication User Group

This operation enables you to create a local authentication user group. Local authentication user groups are used to control the share access permissions of specific local authentication users.

Procedure

  1. Choose Services > File Service > Authentication User > UNIX Users > Local Authentication User Group.
  2. Click Create.

    The Create Local Authentication User Group page is displayed.

  3. Set basic parameters for the local authentication user group.

    Table 1 describes related parameters.

    Parameter

    Description

    Name

    Indicates the name of the local authentication user group.

    NOTE:
    • The name must be unique.
    • The name can contain only letters, digits, underscores (_), hyphens (-), and periods (.), and cannot start with a hyphen (-).
    • The name contains 1 to 64 characters.

    ID

    Indicates the ID of the local authentication user group.

    Description

    Indicates the description of the local authentication user group.

    NOTE:

    The description can be left blank or contain up to 255 characters.

  4. Click OK.
