Viewing Tiering Policies

This operation enables you to view the tiering policies created for a file system.

Context

Procedure

  1. Choose Services > File Service > Tiering.
  2. Click the Placement Policy or Migration Policy tab.
  3. Select a file directory from the list on the left. In the function pane, you can view its tiering policies. Table 1 and Table 2 describe related parameters.

    • For a directory, if it is created with a tiering policy, such policy is applied preferentially. If the directory is not created with a tiering policy, it inherits the policy created for its parent directory.
    • When a file meets multiple placement policies or periodic migration policies, the policy priority is determined by the position in the table. A file in the front has a higher priority. By default, policies are sorted by creation time. You can click Up or Down to change the location of a policy in the table.
