This operation enables you to create a zone to process data requests.
The Create Zone page is displayed.

Name |
Indicates the name of the zone. NOTE:

Home Subnet |
Indicates the subnet to which the zone belongs. |
Sub-domain Name |
Indicates the sub-domain name of the zone. This function must be used together with the DNS function in the subnet. |
Network Type |
Indicates the network type of ports in the zone. After this parameter is specified, only ports of the specified type can be added to the port pool. You are advised to set the network types of all zones in the same subnet to be the same. |
DNS Policy |
Indicates the DNS policy of the zone. Possible options are as follows:
NOTE:
The DNS policy takes effect only after the DNS service is enabled. |
DNS Service |
Indicates whether to enable the DNS service to resolve the sub-domain name of the zone. You are advised to select Enable. After enabling DNS for the subnet, setting a sub-domain name and enabling DNS for the zone. Then, the file service of the zone can be accessed through the sub-domain name. |
IP Address Failover |
Indicates whether to enable IP address failover. After this function is enabled, when a node is faulty, its IP address can be automatically allocated to another normal node. Therefore, clients can continue to access the storage system using this IP address. You are advised to select Enable. |

End IP Address/Mask |
The value is the planned end service IP address and subnet mask when Type is set to Address Segment. NOTE:
A maximum of 50 IP addresses can be contained in an IP address segment. |
