Managing Hosts

This section describes how to manage hosts so that storage resources can be allocated to the hosts and the storage system can connect to application servers.

• Viewing Hosts
  This operation enables you to view information about all hosts.
• Modifying a Host
  This operation enables you to modify basic information, such as the path switchover mode, of a host.
• Mapping Objects to a Host
  This operation enables you to map one or more volumes or snapshots to a host.
• Unmapping Objects from a Host
  This operation enables you to unmap volumes or snapshots from a host.
• Adding an Initiator
  This operation enables you to add initiators to a host.
• Removing Initiators
  This operation enables you to remove initiators from a host.
• Configuring ALUA
  This operation enables you to configure ALUA for a host.
• Deleting a Host
  This operation enables you to delete a host. Deleting a host interrupts the communication between the corresponding application server and the volumes mapped to the host.
